If you’re young, fun, and looking for a great staycation, lyf Hotel Bugis is definitely worth considering! The location is amazing, just steps away from two MRT stations—Bencoolen and Bras Basah—making it super convenient to explore the city.
The hotel itself is easy to find with its big LYF sign up high. It’s surrounded by shops, restaurants, and even famous temples. You can easily walk to the Bugis MRT station and mall too!
As a solo traveler, I found my room a bit tight but comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh-smelling. Just keep in mind that housekeeping isn’t daily; it’s on a schedule.
The amenities are solid—there’s a water filter for drinking tap water, mini fridge, safe lock, and hairdryer included. The air conditioning works great too!
Despite the small size of the rooms, there are shared facilities like an ironing board and microwave on the 5th floor. Plus, there’s a fantastic communal kitchen on level 2 where you can enjoy free coffee and tea anytime!
Parking can be tricky since there’s no drop-off at the front; you’ll need to go to level 2 for pick-up or drop-off. But once you get used to it, it’s manageable!
Security is top-notch with key card access required for lifts.
Even though there are some strict check-in rules regarding booking names matching passports, staying here feels like having your own private space within a shared house vibe.
There’s also a mini gym available, although it shares space with laundry facilities which might not smell so pleasant all the time.
Check-out was quick and easy with their key drop box system.
