- This was such a charming, quiet little boutique hotel! It had traditional elements that really made it feel special to Kyoto, including the balcony and view, all while being super modern and clean. No complaints at all, and the location is perfect – right in between the city and the village. Extremely walkable and excellent service from the front desk especially. Thank you!
- Perfect location and outstanding hospitality from the staff, who gave recommendations, directions, and were so kind. Everyone was friendly and so helpful; we felt welcomed and when we left, it was like saying goodbye to friends. The amenities were top notch, and the bath/shower water pressure was the best we’ve had in Japan. Everything was spotless.
- We enjoyed the location mostly despite it raining all day our first day there. It is super close to so many attractions. The wooden bathtub was exquisite and although the room is tight, it worked just fine. Nice balcony and comfortable beds and linens. No breakfast onsite so reserve in advance the place next door because they fill up quick.
- The location is perfect, just a few minutes from the station and right near Gion. It was quiet and comfortable at night. The staff was truly kind and made us feel safe during our stay. If you don’t mind that there is no cleaning for stays of a few days, I highly recommend this hotel.
- On the edge of Gion this perfectly positioned hotel was the perfect spot for our Kyoto getaway. The rooms have everything you need and additional extras like udon noodles, well-sized balcony help you relax. The staff are lovely with thoughtful touches like heat pads for tired legs.
