Clean, comfortable and nicely designed rooms. A bit of a walk into town, but e-scooters are perfect for getting around. The river view is beautiful, and the staff really went above and beyond when my room wasn’t ready.
Having visited Cologne every year since 2012 for Spoga Fair, we usually stayed around the Dom area. However, with skyrocketing hotel prices, we decided to explore further out this time. This hotel is right across from the Schocoladen Museum on the Rhein river. The reception even upgraded our room for a stunning river view—thank you! We absolutely loved it both day and night.
Really enjoyed our stay, especially in the spacious and comfortable room with high-end toiletries and an amazing breakfast. We appreciated having a gym to use, plus the rooftop view at night was spectacular! Just keep in mind that you need to book the sauna in advance; unfortunately, we missed out on that experience due to communication issues among staff.
I reached out through the Agoda app ahead of time requesting a noon check-in but received no response. When I arrived at noon, my room wasn’t ready until 2:40 PM—even though there were open rooms available. It felt like they didn’t prioritize taking care of guests after a long journey.
The cleaning service had some hiccups; despite hanging up the sign for cleaning, my room wasn’t attended to. Also, I faced issues with breakfast reservations not being recognized by restaurant staff on both days of my stay.
