🍽️Best Review Summary
• Cleanliness 8.8 • Service 8.8 • Location 8.6 • Facilities 8.5
- Staying at the Hakodate Kokusai Hotel was quite an experience! While it’s a bit of a trek from Hakodate Station with heavy luggage, a quick taxi ride makes it super easy. The staff were incredibly friendly and I loved the morning service. Just a heads up, though: the coin laundry situation could use some improvement as there are only three machines for three buildings.
- I had a lovely one-night stay here! It’s not far from JR Hakodate Station, which is nice. Plus, being close to the morning market and Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse adds to its charm. The front desk staff were fantastic—they even switched my room from smoking to non-smoking without any hassle. And honestly, the value for money with their facilities and breakfast is impressive!
- This onsen hotel was beautiful! A bus stop right outside made getting to the cable car for night views super convenient. Cleanliness was top-notch; however, be prepared for long waits if you want to try their famous breakfast—up to 2 hours!
- The location is spot-on—everything you need like the morning market and cable car is within walking distance. They have several buses that go directly to the airport too! The hotel might be older but it’s well-kept and clean. I appreciated having an extension cord available since there wasn’t an outlet by the bed. Also, the breakfast variety was fantastic!
- If you head left out of the hotel, you’ll hit the station in under 10 minutes; right leads you straight to the red brick warehouse! It’s super convenient with all sorts of buses stopping right in front. Breakfast options were amazing—think seafood, steak, ramen—you name it! One thing I wish they’d improve is providing face towels in changing areas since bringing towels from your room can be a hassle.
